Over a year ago, I officially launched my website to this business endeavor I was beyond excited to dive into. Serving others, that’s where my heart was at, but the business side of running a business—now that, that was a completely different language to me.
I had done some virtual assistant, event planning, and freelance copywriting months leading up to the launch of my very own space on the interweb. But when it actually came down to hitting publish on this colorful heart of mine in the form of a website I wanted to curl up in a ball and hide under the covers.
You see, imposter syndrome was in FULL FORCE and holding me back from building the dream in my heart.
Who was I to think I could run my own business?
Who was I to think I had anything of value to offer to small business owners?
Who was I to build a legacy?
If I’m being totally honest here, the past few years of doing this work has not been easy. I still struggle to answer the infamous question: what exactly is it that you do?
I stumble on my words and can’t find the right “title” to express my day-to-day and no matter how many curated photos or “behind-the-scenes” I share, no one will understand the full craziness of running a business until you’ve done it.
Yet, at the same time, this little business of mine is such a gift from God.
From those very first days to what this business has become, it’s pivoted and morphed into exactly where I’m supposed to be right now. And that for me is exciting even when the future has so much unknown.
So back to that question of who am I?
I’m just a small-town girl who has a million dreams in this little heart of mine. God-given dreams with equal parts certainty and uncertainty. I’m obsessed with the sunrise and have way too many photos on my phone of the colorful sky when it sets. I fully believe in-person community is far better than online, but know there’s a way to use social media for good [not gloating].
Over the past few months, I’ve found the things that bring me the most joy and the things that leave my cup empty. I’m working on eliminating the latter out of my business and focusing more on the things God has placed me here to do: like encouraging others to share their story by sharing my own and bringing online connections into real-life community.
Build Your Legacy
I’m working on a project that I pray can do that and more. Think coffee chats, biz besties, accountability partners, and diving into the hard stuff of owning a business or the dream of pursuing a passion.
If you’ve been dreaming about starting your own business, becoming a virtual assistant, or even been in business for some time, but are in full burnout and looking to hire than this is for YOU!
So often I receive Instagram messages or emails asking me how I knew I could build this business? And the truth is, I didn’t. What I did was bring people into my business who knew how to do it.
And now, for the first time ever, I’m opening up the opportunity to return the favor to you.
Whether you want to leave your corporate gig to start a biz that gives you the freedom you’re looking for or you’ve been a service provider behind the scenes of businesses for years…for the first time ever I’m opening up the chance to learn from me 1:1 as to how I’ve gotten to work for some of the biggest names in the industry like Shanna Skidmore, KT Merry, Bonnie Bakhtiari and so many more.
My greatest passion is building up the very people behind the scenes who help the CEO’s machine truly run.
If that’s you, then let’s chat!
