Here's how I got from there to here:
Four and a half years ago, I sat in board rooms surrounded by C-suite executives.
My days consisted of planning $1M galas and constantly extroverting with the who’s who in the area. And although that life was a DREAM come true to start, it quickly became an overly exhausting, burnt out path to a career I wasn’t even sure I wanted anymore.
Instead, I wanted to start a family.
I wanted to spend my days raising my babies, taking them to grandma’s house on a Monday and ending the week early to go camping on a Friday.
I wanted to do work that lit my soul on fire, but didn’t leave me feeling chained to a board room.
What I really craved the most was my FREEDOM.
Freedom to create how I wanted my day to look.
Freedom to decide who I got to spend my day working for + with.
Freedom to pursue a purpose that provided for my family + my soul.
That’s when I started my own event + brand assistant business.
You know, the thing my mom + dad still ask “what is it you do again?” Can you relate?
Over the past 4.5 years, this little business has morphed into a fulfilling purpose-driven career. Now, as a certified director of operations I sit as the strategic partner to the CEO.
I get to help run + lead teams, build team cultures, see the big vision but also all the little details that need to happen to make it a reality. But most importantly, I get to have fun + freedom! From planning events, managing content calendars, leading teams and so much more.
but my secret passion?
I get to vision cast + strategize.
Up until now, when I receive requests from behind the scenes service providers who want to learn more about how I built my business, how to communicate to visionaries who disrespect boundaries, hire team members, and the list goes on, I've never been able to set time aside to spend intentional 1:1 time to answer because I was always knee deep in client work.
